Our Team

Ebony Belcher

My name is Ebony Belcher, and I am the proud founder of Little People Big Hearts Day Care located here in the great city of Mount Vernon, New York. I was born and raised in Mount Vernon and have built numerous positive relationships in the community. I have been licensed by New York state since 2008 as a Group Family Child Care Provider, which has allowed me to provide quality childcare to children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years old servicing many families in our community and nearby areas.

Prior to opening Little People Big Hearts Day Care, I was a foster / adoptive parent for the County of Westchester, worked in different residential treatment facilities, as well as, assisted my mother Mamie Belcher who owned her own day care for over forty years giving me over twenty years of hands on experience.

I've always had a great interest in the well-being of children and love providing them with a safe and secure positive learning environment. My goal is to continue to do so and I am committed to continuing my mother's phenomenal legacy for many years to come.

Jeniffer Benson

My name is Jeniffer Benson and I am a childcare assistant here at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. My daughter attended Little People Big Heart’s Daycare from the age of two. She formed close relationships with her friends over the years. I began my journey at LPBH daycare in 2020. I’ve worked in the medical field for over 10 years, and I have to say this experience has been an amazing one. I enjoy working here and creating bonds with the children. I’ve learned a lot about working in the childcare field from Mrs. Ebony Belcher as she has taught me a lot about the business. I enjoy teaching and learning new ideas from the children every day. I’m thankful to be a part of this program and watching the children learn and grow.

Christina Beauchamp

Hi there! My name is Christina Beauchamp, I am a childcare assistant here at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. I love working with children, it is one of my deepest passions. I hope to open my daycare as Mrs. Ebony has done. I am growing and learning so much from being a part of this business. It has been so amazing to me. Working with Ms. Ebony and the other staff and children feels like a family rather than a business honestly. Watching the children grow every day and learning so much has been a blessing to me. Knowing that I get to assist in making a better future for our children and with our children is simply mind-blowing and I can’t wait to take all that I learned from here and apply it at home with my children.
